Striking AP electricity employees told to wait

PK Mohanty, Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, has on Sunday appealed to the striking state electricity employees to call off the strike in view of the formation of new governments on June 2, 2014. The employees of Andhra Pradesh Transmission Corporation and AP Generation Corporation went on a flash strike since this morning seeking the immediate implementation of pay-revision. “It is improper now to pass the pay-revision by the Governor as two elected Governments will be formed in the two states on June 2. You have waited so long and will not lose anything by waiting for five more days,” the Mohanty said while asking the employees to call of strike immediately.
