Activision Blizzard has stated that all of its temporary and contingent quality assurance (QA) roles in the United States would be converted to full-time positions.

Nearly 1,100 people will be promoted to full-time Activision Blizzard employees, with salary increasing to at least $20 per hour and QA staff receiving incentives and full benefits.

The 1,100 new full-time jobs are in addition to the 500 new full-time jobs that were converted last year.

Activision Publishing's entire full-time workforce has increased by 25% as a result of the conversion of all U.S.-based QA workers to full-time employment.

Raven Software, which is known for its work on the Call of Duty franchise, revealed in December that it was planning to terminate QA contractors. In response, some workers went on strike, while others founded the Game Workers Alliance, which is affiliated with the Communications Workers of America.

However, owing to "legal duties under the National Labor Relations Act," Raven QA testers will not be given raises.
