Bank unions on relay strike

Banking services across the country will likely be affected for 4 days starting December 2 as PSU bank unions will start a zone wise strike. The first zone to be affected is the Southern Zone. The strike is an outcome of the failure of talks between the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner of Mumbai, the Indian Banking Association (IBA), and the United Forum of Banking Unions (UFBU). The strike is a consequence of wage revision demands which the bank unions have been demanding for several months.
