Contract staff risk employee morale

According to an ASSOCHAM survey, the growing incidence of employing contract staff compared to the number of regular positions, have a big effect on employee morale in a company. The survey covered sectors, such as auto, manufacturing, telecom, IT, BPO, FMCG, and healthcare. The survey reveals that while the number of regular employees grew by 25 per cent between 2008-09 and 2012-13, the number of contract workers rose to 39 per cent.
