Is fresh labour trouble brewing in Maruti’s Manesar plant?

Days after the country’s largest carmaker Maruti-Suzuki India announced an average wage settlement of Rs. 16,800/month for its permanent workforce over three years, discontent seems to be simmering at its Manesar plant, where over 1,000 ‘temporary’ workers came out in protest on Saturday demanding a similar hike.
