Workers in a troubled unit of Goodyear tyre factory in France held two managers hostage for two days over dispute over planned job cuts. Trade union officials said that the men would not be allowed to leave until Goodyear agreed to increase redundancy package after announcing cutbacks which can mean a loss of up to 1173 jobs.
