Shree Renuka staff stage protest

Contract workers of Shree Renuka Sugars, at the company’s Haldia plant staged protests after the company did not renew their service contracts. The plant was lying idle for 17 months. The company’s plant was functional only for 53 days since inception. The company’s spokesperson said that the company has made a decision not to renew the contracts of the existing contract workers.
