An altercation between the workers and management of Toyota’s Bangalore plant has led to a lockout. The management says that the lockout is to ensure the safety of the company’s management. The lockout has resulted in a loss of output of 2,000 cars in the last 25 days. The company’s management will meet the state labour minister on Tuesday. The tensions between workers and management originates from the workers demand for higher wages.
