Ex CHRO of Tata Motors invests in electric scooter startup BattRE
Ex-Tata Motors’ President Gajendra Chandel invests in BattRE, an electric scooter startup based in Jaipur. The funds will be utilized for the launch of new models, increasing production capacity and scaling up the distribution and service network. BattRE Electric Mobility has introduced affordable E-scooters and packaged a whole gamut of innovative features & services to truly enhance the customer experience as they step into the green technology revolution.
In the words of Nishchal Chaudhary, Founder of BattRE Electric Mobility, “We are absolutely delighted and honored to have Mr. Gajendra Chandel onboard our company, BattRE Electric Mobility. His in-depth knowledge and vast experience in the automotive sector will provide us with the necessary impetus and guidance. Under his mentorship, we are confident of achieving our vision of providing an affordable and aspirational e-scooter and taking e-mobility to the heart of India”
Commenting on the development, Gajendra Chandel (ex-President - TATA Motors Ltd.), “The focus of the government policy towards EV, backed up by the entire ecosystem of clean tech has seen a slew of startups in the space which has tremendous potential that will disrupt this market.“
The uniqueness of the startup is the IOT connected Electric Scooter supported with a Mobile App. It is a smart vehicle that uses Cloud-based GPRS to connect with a smart-phone app and store all vehicle-related data online. Using the app, the vehicle users will be able to locate the nearest charging points and also predict the scooter’s maintenance-related requirements. Another major advancement in the innovative smart electric scooter by BattRE is that it runs on lithium ferro phosphate batteries(LiFePO4) instead of the lead-acid batteries thereby providing superior performance and longer operational life. The batteries of this scooter is expected to power it for about 6 years providing a carefree experience.
