Amit Dhiman joins JK Cement to lead manufacturing HR function

JK Cement has appointed Amit Dhiman as Head of Manufacturing HR, adding a seasoned human resources leader to strengthen workforce management and employee relations across its manufacturing operations.

According to an update shared by Dhiman, he will lead manufacturing HR for the cement maker, with a focus on advancing HR strategy and strengthening employee relations across the company’s production network.

Bringing deep manufacturing HR expertise

Dhiman joins JK Cement with experience spanning multiple sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods and media.

Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles in human resources, industrial relations and workforce management, building expertise in managing people functions across large-scale operational environments.

His appointment comes as manufacturing companies continue to place greater emphasis on workforce engagement, industrial relations and talent management to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Experience across leading Indian organisations

Before joining JK Cement, Dhiman served as Assistant Vice President – Human Resources and Head of Employee Relations (Corporate) at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd.

In that role, he managed HR and employee relations responsibilities across both corporate and manufacturing environments.

His previous assignments include:

• Assistant Vice President – Human Resources and Head of Employee Relations (Corporate), Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd.
• Manufacturing HR & IR Head (Corporate), Bata India Limited
• General Manager – Human Resources, Hero MotoCorp, where he spent around seven years
• HR Lead, Maruti Suzuki India Limited

These positions provided exposure to industrial relations, employee engagement, workforce planning and HR leadership within large organisations.

At JK Cement, Dhiman is expected to oversee manufacturing HR initiatives and support employee relations across production facilities.

His background in managing HR functions within manufacturing-intensive businesses is likely to support the company's people agenda across operational units.

Dhiman's professional journey began at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he worked as an HR Lead before moving into broader leadership roles across the manufacturing sector.

His subsequent stints at Hero MotoCorp, Bata India, and Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd.

expanded his experience across HR strategy, employee relations and organisational leadership.

With exposure to diverse industries and workforce models, he brings a strong understanding of manufacturing HR challenges and opportunities to his new role at JK Cement.
