Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President and former HR head at Infosys has resigned after serving at the global IT company.

Lobo's exit has been confirmed by the global IT firm in a regulatory filing at BSE, “This is to inform that Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President and Senior Management Personnel, has resigned from the services of the Company. His last date with the company would be August 31, 2023. The Company places on record its deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by him and for his contributions to the company,”

Lobo was moved to the special projects team under CEO Salil Parekh, and Sushant Tharappan took over his role as HR Head in the first week of July 2023. Before him, Vishal Salvi had stepped down as Senior VP, CISO and Head of Cyber Security, to join Quick Heal Technologies, a global cyber security company. His exit led to the top-level rejig at Infosys. 

Lobo joined Infosys 23 years ago, and he was serving as the head of HR from 2015 to 2023. At the moment, no information regarding his next opportunity is available. In his resignation letter, he conveyed, “I’m writing to inform you of my decision to resign from my position at Infosys. I’m grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have had during my time here.”

In June, Narsimha Rao Mannepalli also quit Infosys after 22 years of serving as EVP & Co-Head of Delivery & Head of Cloud, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. In March 2023, Mohit Joshi stepped down from his position as President at Infosys and moved on to Tech Mahindra as Managing Director and CEO.
