Healthcare startup Superhealth has appointed former Dunzo co-founder Dalvir Singh Suri to lead operations as it prepares to scale from a single hospital model to a planned network of 100 multispecialty hospitals across India.

Superhealth has appointed Dalvir Singh Suri, former co-founder of Dunzo, as its Head of Operations, strengthening its leadership team as the Bengaluru-based healthcare startup moves into its next phase of expansion.

The appointment comes at a pivotal stage for the company. Having validated its healthcare delivery model through its flagship hospital, Superhealth is now focused on building the operational infrastructure required to expand its footprint across India.

According to the company, Suri will lead efforts to build the systems, teams and operational processes needed to replicate Superhealth's hospital model across multiple locations.

Focus shifts from proof of concept to scale

Superhealth's expansion plans are ambitious. The company aims to grow from its current flagship facility to 100 multispecialty hospitals across India over the next five to seven years.

As the organisation prepares for that growth, operational consistency and execution are expected to become critical priorities. Suri's mandate centres on creating scalable systems capable of supporting a large healthcare network while maintaining service standards.

The company said his experience in building and managing large-scale operational ecosystems aligns with its next phase of development.

Operations veteran brings nearly two decades of experience

Suri joins Superhealth with nearly 17 years of experience in building and scaling operational systems.

A significant part of his career was spent at Dunzo, where he served as a co-founder and worked for more than eight years. During that period, he was involved in developing hyperlocal business models and managing complex physical and digital operations.

His experience spans:

  • Building and scaling operational systems
  • Managing large physical and digital networks
  • Developing hyperlocal business models
  • Creating execution frameworks for growth-stage organisations
  • Leading operational transformation initiatives

The appointment reflects Superhealth's focus on strengthening execution capabilities as it expands beyond its first hospital.

Building a technology-led healthcare network

Superhealth has positioned itself around a technology-enabled healthcare model designed to streamline hospital operations and patient experience.

According to the company, its operating framework includes:

  • A zero-wait model for patients
  • A zero-commission structure
  • Full-time salaried doctors
  • Fixed all-inclusive pricing
  • Digitally managed clinical and operational workflows

The company also uses its proprietary platform, SuperOS, across hospital operations. The system incorporates AI-driven capabilities, including real-time patient monitoring and clinical audits.

Superhealth said these technology-led processes are intended to improve efficiency while supporting standardised healthcare delivery across locations.

Scaling a model built in Bengaluru

The company claims its Bengaluru hospital has achieved an average patient length of stay that is nearly one-third of that recorded by a typical corporate hospital.

As Superhealth prepares for national expansion, the challenge will be translating those operational outcomes across a significantly larger network.

Suri's appointment reflects the company's effort to establish the leadership and operating foundations required for that transition. His role will involve ensuring that systems, teams and workflows can be replicated consistently as new hospitals are added.

Expansion plans enter execution phase

India's healthcare sector is witnessing increasing investment in technology-led hospital models, with providers seeking to improve efficiency, patient outcomes and cost management through digital tools and AI.

Against this backdrop, Superhealth is moving from experimentation and validation to execution at scale. The addition of an operations leader with experience in building large networks signals the company's intention to accelerate that journey.

With plans to establish 100 hospitals over the coming years, the focus now shifts from proving the model to building the operational engine capable of supporting nationwide growth.
