Freudenberg, a technological product and services company, has recently appointed Mr. Georg Graf as their new Regional Representative in India.

The global technology group, Freudenberg, has appointed Georg Graf as their new Regional Representative in India, with effect from the first of July this year. Mr. Graf has been with the Freudenberg Group for 24 years and has held many prominent roles in the company including Chief Financial Officer of the Freudenberg Chemical Specialties companies in India and the Head of the Freudenberg Regional Corporate Center (FRCC), Bangalore – a position he intends to retain. Mr. Graf’s focus in his new role will be to realize the company’s vision of best serving its customers and society in developing leading-edge technologies, products, solutions and services that support global sustainability. With an extensive knowledge of the Indian markets, Mr. Graf is properly suited for the role. He has been living in Bangalore for eight years and heads the FRCC since 2013. “For the future – I’m excited about the many possibilities India will be providing for developing the business even further,” says Mr. Graf.

He will be taking up the mantle from Dr. Jörg Matthias Großmann, who has been the Regional Representative for Freudenberg India since 2006 and who will continue to perform his duties as CFO of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities SE & Co. KG. During his time as Regional Representative, Dr. Großmann successfully developed the Group’s business in India, initiating numerous group wide projects and activities, and strengthening the Freudenberg Group’s position in the market. Dr. Großmann also championed “social responsibility” in the region – focusing especially on environmental protection and the education of young people. Particularly noteworthy is the development of the Freudenberg training center in Nagapattinam in southern India. “Dr. Großmann has set the basis for Freudenberg’s long-term success in India, with his unconditional commitment to quality and excellence, he always believed in and ensured that India is a priority for Freudenberg”, said Dr. Mohsen Sohi, CEO of the Freudenberg Group. With such outgoing credentials, Graf will have some big shoes to fill in. 

With regards to their presence, India remains a cornerstone of success for the Freudenberg Group. The group has held business ties with multiple companies in India for more than 90 years. Today they employ over 2,700 associates at 30 locations. Twelve Freudenberg companies are represented in India with production centers, sales and service offices, as well as three R&D center.

Graf will move forward with innovation and long-term investment in India. Dr. Mohsen Sohi reiterated the idea by stating “I firmly believe that Freudenberg in India will continue to grow under Mr. Graf’s leadership”, said.
