Facebook announced the appointment of Pulkit Trivedi as industry director to spearhead the e-commerce, retail, travel and financial services verticals. Trivedi will lead in building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients in the country.

Prior to joining Facebook India, Trivedi served as the Head of Industry, e-Commerce at Google India since 2012. 

Trivedi has 18 years of experience in the fields of product and brand management, market and business development and sales. He was responsible for driving most of Google’s businesses in India. He has worked with Microsoft, IBM and HCL in the past.

Excited with his joining, Umang Bedi, Managing Director, Facebook India said,

With an MBA degree from BITS Mesra, Trivedi has also earned a place in the “Hottest young Business Leaders Under 40” in India, a list that was compiled by Business Today in 2015.
