Srikantan Moorthy of Infosys becomes TA Head for the US

Srikantan Moorthy who was earlier heading application services will now be the head of talent acquisition for the US. Before he was appointed Head of Global Services - Application Development, he had been serving the company as Group Head of Human Resources Development at Infosys Ltd. since April 1, 2013. Moorthy has also served as Senior Vice President and Head of Education & Research at Infosys, where his primary responsibility was talent development through competency building. He has an experience of over 25 years and has spent the majority of his life as an HR professional.

Considering that Infosys is currently on a major localization drive, moving HR veteran, Srikantan Moorthy to the US with a new role seems to be a strategic move by CEO Salil Parekh. The company is trying to hire more locals in the US and establish development hubs closer to its clients. It has set up four technology and innovation hubs in the country. Last year, Infosys had announced its plan to hire 10,000 people in the US in the following 18-24 months.

Srikantan Moorthy has been part of Infosys since December 2000. He was also listed as one of the top-paid executives of Infosys by ET in 2015. He has worn many hats within the company. From being the Delivery Head of Infosys' Communication Service Providers to recently heading application services, he has been part of the company for almost 18 years.

After Moorthy, Satish H C, executive VP of data and analytics, will probably oversee application services portfolio in addition to his existing role. Report point towards another change of role as Anurag Vardhan Sinha, industry head and senior VP of communication, media, and entertainment (CME) for the Americas could be named the service offering head for engineering services.
