Jindal Steel appoints former IndiGo CHRO Sukhjit S Pasricha as HR President

The HR leader brings more than 28 years of experience across aviation, banking, telecom and financial services to his new role at Jindal Steel.

Jindal Steel has appointed Sukhjit S Pasricha as President & Head of HR, strengthening its leadership team with an HR executive who has spent nearly three decades leading people functions across multiple industries.


Pasricha joins the steelmaker after serving as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at IndiGo. He brings more than 28 years of experience in corporate and business HR, having held leadership positions across aviation, banking, telecommunications and financial services.


Leadership transition brings cross-sector HR expertise


Pasricha's appointment marks his move from the aviation sector to one of India's leading steel manufacturers.


Before joining Jindal Steel, he led the HR function at IndiGo, where he served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer.


Over the course of his career, he has built experience across diverse industries, working with several prominent organisations.

Nearly three decades in human resources


Pasricha began his professional journey in 1995 as Assistant Executive, Corporate HR at Vardhman Group of Companies.


Since then, he has held progressively senior HR leadership positions, overseeing people strategies across organisations operating in different sectors and business environments.


His career reflects experience in managing HR functions through periods of organisational growth and business transformation.


Academic background


Pasricha holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources from Guru Nanak Dev University.


His academic foundation, combined with more than two decades of HR leadership experience, has shaped a career spanning multiple industries and large enterprises.


Strengthening the leadership team


The appointment adds an experienced HR leader to Jindal Steel's senior leadership team at a time when organisations across industries continue to focus on talent, leadership development and workforce capability.


With experience across aviation, banking, financial services and telecommunications, Pasricha now takes on responsibility for leading the company's human resources function as President & Head of HR.
