Lupin appoints Aditi Altekar as Global Lead, HR Digital & AI Transformation

Lupin has appointed Aditi Altekar as Global Lead, HR Digital & AI Transformation, strengthening its focus on HR technology, digitalisation and artificial intelligence-led workforce transformation.

The appointment places Altekar at the centre of Lupin's efforts to modernise HR operations and accelerate the use of digital platforms and AI across its people function. She joins the pharmaceutical company with more than 18 years of experience spanning HR technology, enterprise systems, digital transformation and organisational change.

The move reflects a broader trend across industries, where organisations are investing in AI, automation and data-driven HR capabilities to improve workforce experiences, streamline operations and support business growth.

Mandate centred on technology and AI-led HR transformation

In her new role, Altekar will oversee Lupin's HR technology strategy and lead initiatives focused on digital transformation and AI adoption within the HR function.

Her responsibilities include:

• Driving HR technology strategy across the organisation
• Leading HR digital transformation programmes
• Accelerating AI adoption within HR processes and operations
• Supporting the evolution of digital employee experiences
• Strengthening technology-enabled workforce management capabilities

The appointment comes as companies increasingly deploy AI tools and automation across recruitment, workforce planning, employee services, learning and talent management.

Bringing experience from consumer and media sectors

Before joining Lupin, Altekar served as Group Human Resources Technology Lead at Godrej Industries Group between January 2025 and June 2026.

According to her professional profile and career history, her work at Godrej Industries Group focused on:

• HR digital transformation
• Technology modernisation
• HR systems strategy
• Alignment of HR technology with business priorities

Prior to Godrej Industries Group, she worked as Associate Director, Human Resources at Zee Entertainment Enterprises from November 2022 to January 2025.

During her tenure at Zee, she helped shape a multi-year HR technology roadmap covering employee self-service platforms, automation, security, compliance and enterprise HR solutions.

Built a career around HR technology and enterprise systems

Altekar's career has been closely linked with HR systems implementation and digital transformation programmes.

Key positions held during her career include:

• Senior Project Manager, Stepping Cloud Consulting (October 2018 to October 2022)
• Human Resources Technology Lead, Raymond (April 2017 to September 2018)

At Stepping Cloud Consulting, she managed end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects for clients. At Raymond, she worked on HRMS upgrades, technology modernisation and initiatives aimed at reducing manual intervention through process automation.

Her professional journey spans HR technology implementation, enterprise applications, digital strategy and transformation leadership.

Academic focus on digital leadership

Alongside her corporate career, Altekar is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Digital Leadership at Golden Gate University, a programme she began in September 2024.

She also holds a Professional Diploma in HR Management from Wigan & Leigh College India, completed between 2011 and 2013.
