Food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy has appointed Madhav Vamsi as their Head of Talent & Culture. Before joining Swiggy, Madhav has worked with famous brands such as Microsoft, Flipkart and TCS. 

In his new role, he will be responsible for L&D charter alongside evangelizing technology for overall HR function. He will also create broader programs and platforms to encourage employee engagement.

Confirming the news to People Matters, he said, “It is an obvious excitement to be part of the leading food tech company in the country, however, the real excitement is in working with the team and thought leadership within HR & business function.”

Madhav left Microsoft in July 2017 and started consulting with startups in various domains such as education, HR Tech and others. Swiggy was one of the startups where Madhav was working as a consultant. He termed his consulting stint with Swiggy as ‘extremely insightful.’ 

Madhav Vamsi did his Doctorate in management studies from NIPM. Prior joining Flipkart, he worked with TCS-CMC as the Country Head-Talent Acquisitions and Head-Campus recruitments. According to his LinkedIn profile, he started his career with Mensa Soft and then moved to AMI Technologies as the DGM-HR & Training.  

It can be highlighted that the food ordering app is on an expansion mode. According to media reports, Swiggy is likely to raise $200 million soon. The Bengaluru based startup is all set to enter new markets such as Coimbatore and Kochi. In the last three months, Swiggy has started their operations in cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh.
