McKinsey & Company elects Kevin Sneader as Global Managing Partner

Kevin Sneader becomes the twelfth partner to lead McKinsey as more than 560 senior partners of the firm elect him as the new Global Managing Partner.
McKinsey & Company elects Kevin Sneader as Global Managing Partner

Kevin Sneader, currently McKinsey’s Asia Chairman has been elected by more than 560 senior partners as the new Global Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company. He will be serving a three-year term beginning on 1st July 2018. Kevin has been part of McKinsey group for 26 years, joining the firm in London in 1989.

Previous Global Managing Partner replacing Dominic Barton trusts Kevin to retain the standards, principles, and integrity that are McKinsey’s hallmark while continuing to innovate the firm to meet changing needs of clients. Dominic Barton has served the company as the Global Managing Partner for nine years. 

Before taking the baton of responsibilities from Dominic, Kevin appreciates his contribution, “Dominic has challenged us to disrupt ourselves and spur innovation throughout our firm during his tenure.”

The press release shared that McKinsey has expanded from 1,100 partners in 2007 to more than 2,000 today and over the past decade, it has broadened its offerings in areas such as digital transformation, advanced analytics, design, and implementation to help clients succeed in a rapidly evolving business context. Now Kevin Sneader will be leading the company from the front and his years of experience and knowledge will help him to fulfill this responsibility.  

Kevin has pursued his MBA from Harvard Business School and has also done LLB from the University of Glasgow. He is a member of the McKinsey’s global Operating Committee and has also chaired the Client Committee of its Shareholders Council.
