Rituparna Chatterjee steps down as Deputy Editor, Huff Post India

Senior Journalist Aman Sethi, who was associated with Times group will replace Rituparna. He will be joining Huffington Post on April 2nd, 2018.

Senior Journalist, Rituparna Chatterjee steps down as Deputy Editor from Huffington Post India on 20th February 2018. She was working with the organization since the launch of Huffington Post in India in a partnership with the English daily, The Times of India in December 2014.  

Talking to People Matters, she said, "Working with Huff Post since inception was  an amazing journey." 

She mentioned, "You don't get an organization where you have more women in the team than men and at Huff post, we have always highlighted sensitive issues with our stories. The organization was extremely friendly." 

When asked about her next move, she replied.  "I will not stop being a journalist and I will always have a nose for news."  

Announcing the development of the micro-blogging platform, twitter she mentioned, "After 3.5 years at @HuffPostIndia, last evening I formally stepped down as Deputy Editor. What a ride this has been for those of us who launched HuffPost in India. It's been a privilege working with some of India's most talented journalists, who are now friends for life."

Her formal association with a new organization will come very soon. Rituparna is a senior journalist with more than 15 years of experience. She has worked with organizations such as Network 18, Thomson Reuters and Press Trust of India. She is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
