Tata AIA appoints its new CEO and MD

The new CEO will replace former Chief Executive Officer Naveen Tahilyani, who will take over as Chief Executive Officer, Group Partnership Distribution, AIA Group, Hong Kong.

The current Chief of Proprietary Channels, Product, Marketing & Corporate Communication at Tata AIA Life, Rishi Srivastava has been promoted and appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director effective from August 1, 2018.

Rishi joined Tata AIA Life in 2016 and has been instrumental in setting up and driving Tata AIA’s Agency workforce and has successfully built the unique Premier Agency model in India that is aimed at providing enhanced overall customer experience. His focus on simplified offerings and addressing multiple needs of the customer also led to innovation in Product and a differentiated marketing strategy.

With more than twenty years’ experience in finance and insurance, Rishi has worked in companies like ICICI Prudential and ICICI Bank as Chief Agency Officer and General Manager respectively. He has also worked in AXA as Director of the Agency business in Jakarta.  

Rishi will be replacing  Naveen Tahilyani who was leading the life insurance company towards growth for about three years. Tata AIA shares that  Naveen bought a wealth of experience and expertise to the company. He has led strong, profitable growth at Tata AIA over the past three and half years, with a focus on delivering a multi-distribution business, best-in-class customer experience and building a differentiated protection oriented franchise. 

After leading the business for Tata AIA Life Insurance Company, Naveen has now taken the position of Chief Executive Officer, Group Partnership Distribution, AIA Group, Hong Kong. 

Tata Sons and AIA Group are confident that the growth momentum in Tata AIA will continue under the strong and capable leadership of Rishi.
