 TaxiForSure, the cab hailing service purchased by rival Ola for $200 million in March, said on Wednesday that its chief executive Arvind Singhal had quit, citing personal reasons. Pallav Singh, senior vice president of operations at Ola, was named the new chief executive of the company, TaxiForSure said in an e-mail response to queries from Mint. Singhal’s departure comes amid speculation that Ola may be considering the closure of TaxiForSure as an independent business over the next year.
