Former hedge fund manager and current investment manager at Berkshire Hathaway, Todd Combs may join the board of Paytm.

Last year in August, Berkshire had made a $300 Mn investment in the mobile payment company. Now if Combs joins the board it won't be much of a surprise.

Along with Combs, it is also speculated that Yao Michael, SVP Head of Corporate Finance, Alibaba Group could join the board.

Currently, Paytm's board includes Financial CEO Eric Jing, Mark Schwartz, Vice-Chairman, Goldman Sachs Group and chairman of Goldman Sachs in 

Asia-Pacific, Ravi Adusumalli — SAIF Partners, Munish Varma, Managing Partner at SoftBank, and Pallavi Shroff, Founder and Managing Partner of law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

Now with people like Combs and Michael joining the board, Paytm's board shall further strengthen.

Started as a payment system and digital wallet company, Paytm has forayed into many businesses, from e-shopping to lending domain. As the India-based company continues to grow, leadership and mentoring by experts like Berkshire's Todd Combs becomes critical.
