Former Managing Director of Hooq and COO of Dish TV has joined home appliances company Voltas as their new Chief Operating Officer, UPBG (The company's Unitary Products Business Group), one of the three business divisions of Voltas, deals with air-conditioners, commercial refrigeration, and water coolers and dispensers.

Kapoor is an industry veteran with more than twenty-five years of experience. He has worked with other home appliances makers such as Blue Star, LG, and Samsung in different capacities. 

In his long career, Salil Kapoor has worked in sectors such as consumer electronics, home appliances, satellite television, subscription related services, software, OTT, etc.  He has worked with Multi-National Companies such as Microsoft and OTT platform Hooq (A JV between Singtel, Warner Brothers, and Sony Pictures) and Indian companies such as Dish TV.  

Salil Kapoor is also an active industry participator. He is the Co-Chair, Entertainment Committee, IAMAI (Internet And Mobile Association of India) and committee member, IAA (International Advertising Association), India chapter.
