He added he was looking forward to strengthening regional relationships and helping customers advance their digital transformation programmes.
The appointment reflects Workday's continued focus on expanding its presence across Asia Pacific while supporting organisations adopting AI-enabled enterprise technologies.
Leadership appointment comes as AI investments grow
According to Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Workday, the appointment comes at a time when businesses across Asia Pacific are increasingly adopting artificial intelligence to improve employee experiences and optimise financial performance.
Enslin said Lombard's regional leadership experience, customer-focused approach and track record of building high-performing teams would support the company's next phase of growth.
He added the appointment would help Workday expand its regional operations while enabling organisations to unlock greater value from the company's enterprise platform.
Strengthening Workday's regional footprint
The leadership change aligns with broader technology investment trends across Asia Pacific, where organisations are increasing spending on enterprise AI, cloud platforms and digital transformation to improve operational resilience and workforce productivity.
With Lombard leading regional operations, Workday aims to deepen customer engagement, strengthen relationships with partners and expand adoption of its HR, finance and IT solutions across Asia Pacific.
The appointment also positions the company to build on growing enterprise demand for AI-powered business platforms as organisations continue modernising their operations.
