A leading provider of collaboration and productivity software, Atlassian Corporation has announced plans to hire 1,000 employees globally as part of a major recruitment drive in 2021. Atlassian is the maker of popular workplace tools including Jira, Confluence, BitBucket and Trello.
The company has indicated plans to hire a number of front-end and back-end engineers, along with 300 R&D engineers in India in the upcoming year.
Atlassian presently has an employee base of 700, and is looking to scale its operations at its R&D and customer center in Bengaluru, which happens to be Atlassian’s fastest growing R&D site ever since its launch in 2018.

In the last quarter, Atlassian’s total customers rose by a record 11,617 net-new customers of all sizes, to 194,334, up by 17.9% from a year ago.
By serving IT teams, the company more than doubles their addressable opportunity in the technical teams’ market from 45 million to 100 million users.

We launched Jira Service Management for IT teams, made significant progress on enterprise capabilities in the cloud, and announced a three-year migration path to the cloud for on-premise customers. These are important milestones against two long-standing goals: bringing a world-class cloud experience to customers of all sizes and delivering continuous innovation that streamlines their most important workflows,” added Ajmera.
Given Atlassian’s ambitious plans, fueled by a great start to the fiscal year, it fares well for the organization to have transparent employee-friendly practices in place.
