Mahindra to rope in 20 executives for digital solutions

Leading this plan is recently hired Anish Shah, who joined in from GE Capital last year as group president for strategy.

MUMBAI: Anand Mahindra is seeking fresh blood to power his group's move to digital, and is on the prowl for 20 'high-powered folks' to make his seven-decade old auto-to-defence conglomerate more digitally savvy as Indian businesses go through a wave of technological disruption. 

Leading this plan is recently hired Anish Shah, who joined in from GE Capital last year as group president for strategy. Mahindra Group is specifically looking for people in digital, analytics, innovation and customer insight. Some new hires will also be part of the core strategy team. The group kick started its plan by poaching Askme.com CEO Jaspreet Bindra as group senior vicepresident for digital innovation and ecommerce in July to drive automation and implement digital technologies across the group.
