Syntel layoffs: NDLF claims sacking of 3,000 employees
NDLF has alleged that Syntel does not give the employees the minimum 30-day notice period before termination.
IT Employees Wing of trade union body New Democratic Labour Front (NDLF) has raised claims of layoffs at Syntel - a Nasdaq listed and US-headquartered Information Technology (IT) company, which has a large employee presence in India. "Syntel has planned and is enforcing layoff of 3,000 employees. This has been going on for the past one month and thousands have already lost their jobs" NDLF said in a statement released on Monday. NDLF has alleged that Syntel does not give the employees the minimum 30-day notice period before termination.
