Ambuja Cement to train 18,000 masons, 15,000 contractors

Ambuja Cement, which launched its fifth knowledge centre in Gujarat recently, on Tuesday said it would train 18,000 masons and 15,000 contractors in certified construction courses by 2020. Aiming to provide services beyond manufacturing cement, the company’s Customer Support Group (CSG) is offering technical assistance and value-added services for customers, masons and construction professionals, including architects, civil engineers and project managers, an official said here. So far, Ambuja has provided certified courses to 3,000 masons and 2,200 contractors in Gujarat, Umesh Soni, Corporate Head, CSG, said. The Neev Abhiyaan programme by the CSG provides formal training for skill building of masons, contractors and supervisors.
