APSSDC signs MOU with Internshala to provide student internships

With the aim to improve technical & soft skills and employability quotient of students, Internshala and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) have decided to partner for student benefit.

As per the MOU signed, Internshala will extend the benefits to colleges registered under APSSDC where students will have access to over 1, 00,000 internships (with stipend) listed with Internshala free of cost. It will also provide further guidance to students through workshops organized by them on Internship program.  Colleges will have benefit to track students’ performance in internships secured by them.

Mr. K.V. Sathyanarayana, MD & CEO of APSSDC said, “Through this partnership, we are looking to enhance the skills and competency of students across the state. Internships help students explore their field of interest and gain practical knowledge, it exposes the students to the corporate world, and develop their technical skills even before they graduate.”

APSSDC is a Corporation built as a public private partnership to endorse skill-development and entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh. It is also responsible for providing skilled manpower as part of Government of Andhra Pradesh’s skill mission.

Sarvesh Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Internshala, provides his two cents on the collaboration. He says,“We are excited to partner with APSSDC to be a part of GoAP’s mission to skill over 10 million people by 2022 and the immense potential it holds for the youth in Andhra Pradesh. Internshala’s focus is to build the world full of opportunities for students and through this collaboration, we hope to help the youth to develop their skills and gain practical experience.”

As reported by People Matters earlier, this year in May, Internshala had also signed an MOU with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in order to facilitate internships for Indian students. Internshala as a platform helps students provide internships in diverse fields including engineering, management, applied arts, science, law, design, hotel management, architecture, and so forth.
