CIMA & AICPA join hands to establish new global accounting principles

Two of the leading accountancy bodies have included India in the new management accounting framework alongwith 177 other countries. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants(CIMA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) have joined hands proposing a comprehensive framework to bring a different outlook to management accounting practices around the world and help organizations make smarter, faster decisions for the long-term amidst growing complexity and change. Talking about this initiative, Dr Noel Tagoe, Executive Director of CIMA Education, says, “We are responding to the effects and impact that lead to global economic crises. There were manyfailures in this system from risk management to accounting practices. The world is moving really fast and our management accounting frameworks need to keep pace with this change.”
