The number of Indian students taking up courses in US universities has risen by 6 per cent in 2013-14. New York University has become the top attraction for Indian students going to study in the US. The increase in the numbers is indicative of the increment of scholarship plans offered by the Government. China retains its top spot as the largest exporter of students to US universities.
