New bank recruitment process

The new vacancies to be filled up in 2014-15 will depend on a new recruitment process according to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). IBPS has been conducting separate common written examinations to fill vacancies of probationary officers and clerks in 20 public sector banks. The banks are expected to recruit about 50,000 officers and clerks in financial year 2014-15 and the process was likely to begin in a couple of months, IBPS said earlier.
