Kerala Labour Minister urges employers to hire students

Industrial houses and peer employers should call in early enough to campuses to recruit students young, according to Shibu Baby John, Minister for Labour and Rehabilitation. He said this while inaugurating a two-day ‘Nypunyam-2014,’ the skilling summit being organised by the Department of Labour and Rehabilitation. The handholding has to start at a very young age so that the recruits grow into a skilled workforce to meet the demand of the emerging international job market. Trade and industrial houses and others should come forward to identify aptitude and skills of students and youth.
