Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd, in association with technical institutes and non-governmental organisations, will set up a total of 10 Yamaha Technical Schools by the end of December. Ravider Singh, vice-president (strategy and planning), Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd, said this on the sidelines of the inauguration of Yamaha Technical School at St Joseph’s Technical Institute in Mangalore on Tuesday. Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of the event, Singh said that Yamaha Technical School in Mangalore is the first one in southern zone and sixth in India. Talks are in final stages for establishing Yamaha Technical Schools in Chennai, Kochi, Lucknow and Bhubhaneshwar. He hoped that these four schools will be set up by December. Stating that there is no organised two-wheeler training institute in the country, he said the training in this centre to enable students to become two-wheeler technicians. Experts from Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd will conduct training programme for students in such schools. They will undergo one-year training at the training institute, he said.
