Bharti Airtel sees more high-profile exits

Another five senior executives have left Bharti Airtel, including its legal and enterprise marketing heads, continuing the high-profile exits at India's top mobile phone operator that have coincided with a new top management being put in place and an overhaul of the organisational structure. Starting April 1, Vittal will have an expanded role, covering Sri Lanka and Bangladesh operations. According to people in the know, while exits at the top were widely anticipated in light of the new management direction with emphasis on consolidation and cutting costs, the latest departures were of employees that the company wanted to hold on to.
