Flipkart announces shift in operating model

The e-retailing company, Flipkart, has announced a change in its operating model moving forward. It plans to become an aggregator for merchants. The company presently has 14,000 employees and intends to increase its headcount to 25,000. The company also operates with 4500 merchants. The company’s head of marketplace, Ankit Nagori, was promoted to senior vice president this year.
