The ongoing layoff spree has impacted thousands of workers around the globe. Tech giant Google too fired several people and now some of them have come together to form a new company.

Henry Kirk worked as a manager at Google for nearly a decade. However, he was laid off along with 12,000 others in January. Instead of letting the layoff get the best of him, he decided to rise by establishing his firm.

Kirk, along with six other former colleagues, is gearing up to set up a design and development studio in New York and San Francisco.

If media reports are to be believed, the ex-Google employees are planning to complete the entire foundation for the company before the end of March, even before the 60-day layoff notification period.

This new company will focus on providing design and research tools for other companies' apps and websites, engineering projects for businesses without the necessary experience, and helping startups grow and get funding.

According to a report by Business Today, Kirk said that he enjoyed working at Google and thinks of it as attending "Google University." Instead of taking the layoff as a negative experience, Kirk wants to carry on the positive working environment he experienced at Google into his new business.
