Govt shifts all ONGC staff out of South Sudan

In the face of an escalating risk of civil war, Govt of India has shut down its South Sudan operations and has brought back all 11 executives. The executives systematically shut down the Greater Nile Oil Project producing 40000 barrels a day. ONGC Videsh Ltd. owns 25% in Greater Nile Oil Project along with China’s CNPC and Malaysia’s Petronas. The executives were shifted out with the start of a civil outbreak on December 15th.
