Newly elevated president BG Srinivas has joined the procession of senior executives turning their backs on Infosys, putting pressure on founder NR Narayana Murthy to demonstrate that his return to the software company is doing more good than harm. Since Murthy’s return as chairman a year ago, sentiment about InfosysBSE -5.96 % has continued to sag and there has been no dramatic improvement in performance either, prompting questions about the wisdom of his recall and adding urgency to the search for a chief executive to replace SD Shibulal. “The continuing news flow on departing senior Infosys executives leaves many industry watchers baffled,” said Thomas Reuner, principal analyst at Ovum, a consultancy.
