Kerala aims to be entrepreneur-driven
The Kerala Government has taken steps to turn the State into an entrepreneur driven state, Industries and IT minister PK Kunhalikutty, said today. To propel growth for industries, especially for startups, the government is considering making some changes in its industrial policy. There will be some minor modifications and the draft is in final stages which would be placed before the Cabinet soon, the Minister said. He was speaking to reporters here in connection with the Young Entrepreneurs Summit (YES), a first of its kind initiative in the country to be held at Adlux International Convention Centre at Angamally on Friday. Kerala, according to the Minister, has emerged the second state after Karnataka in entrepreneurship. This was revealed by the Hyderabad-based research institute NISIET, he said adding that the State was aiming to add another 500 startups by 2016 to touch 1,000.
