Lloyds to cut another 800 jobs, some roles to be outsourced to India

The job losses at Lloyds Group will nearly hit 15,000 since the start of 2009 as the Group is cutting another 800 jobs from its administrative centers. Following this is the loss of a key contract with Equitable Life, the mutual life insurer, as its transferring its contract to Indian company HCL in March 2011. It is expected that HCL plans to keep only 100 people in Aylesbury to manage the Equitable work, while other roles will move to other parts of the UK and India.
