McDonald's assigns top exec to lead operations in north and east India

According to an Economic Times report, US burger chain McDonald's has assigned one of its top executives to lead the firm's operations in north and east India where it is engaged in a legal battle with Indian partner and ousted MD Vikram Bakshi.

According to an Economic Times report, US burger chain McDonald's has assigned one of its top executives to lead the firm's operations in north and east India where it is engaged in a legal battle with Indian partner and ousted MD Vikram Bakshi.

Aysel Melbye, senior regional finance director at McDonald's Corporation, has recently sent out emails seeking visits to McDonald's outlets and meetings with departments such as training, HR, IT, operations and office administration, the report further said. This marks escalation in the ongoing leadership tussle in the company.

Two employees at CPRL told Economic Times that there is confusion among the employees about who is driving the business.
