Monster Employment Index India rises 14% year-on-year

The Monster Employment Index India has risen 14% year-over-year. Online recruitment activity exceeded the year-ago level in 17 of the 27 industry sectors monitored by the index. IT-hardware, software (up 33%) led all industry sectors in terms of annual growth, followed by travel and tourism (up 32%); production & manufacturing (up 32%); healthcare, bio technology & life sciences, pharmaceuticals (up 30%) and home appliances (up 28%). Automotive/ ancillaries / tyres (down 13%) registered the most notable year-on-year as well as month-on-month decline.
