New company law promotes gender diversity

The new company law mandates at least one woman on the Board of companies. Since this became law in August, a multitude of companies have been scampering to hire a woman for a Board position. The Forum for Women in Leadership is planning to release a women director roster, which is a list of 150 women in various companies ready to take on Board responsibilities. Lower in the hierarchy, many companies are also looking to promote their gender diversity balance.
