With the new Companies Act mandating women, companies are on the scamper of inducting women to their respective Boards. Listed companies need to have at least one woman on their board, according to the law that was passed by the Lok Sabha in December. The deadline varies from one year to three years, depending on the size of the company. In the past five months, executive search firms have been flooded with mandates from top companies looking to comply with the law.
