SEBI to force board level changes

According to a SEBI proposal, a Director in a Board may be limited to serve not more than five companies at one time. Companies also may start hunt for independent directors of a finite number. Also part of the proposal are measures to ensure that companies appoint women directors. All these changes are part of SEBI’s target for improving corporate governance and protecting the interests of minority investors.
