Sharma quits JSPL, joins Bangla firm

VR Sharma, the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (steel business), Jindal Steel and Power, has quit the company to join Bangladesh-based Abul Khair Group as Group Chief Executive Officer in charge of steel and power. When contacted a spokesperson for JSPL said Sharma had quit some time ago. In steel, Abul Khair Group produces long, flat and coated products. The group features among top three business houses in Bangladesh. It has a 2-million-tonne a year steel plant in Chittagong and is adding another 2.5 mt a year capacity with a hot strip mill.
