India's leading staffing firms have generated over 5 million jobs in the last 10 years, according to Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), Economic Times reported.

The ET report quoted ISF Vice President Rituparna Chakraborty as saying, "The flexible staffing industry has now and again proven itself as one of the key pillars necessary to sustain and accelerate the growth of the Indian economy."

Flexible staffing is making its way into the formal sector. Out of two crore flexi-staff in India, only 13 lakh are being covered under the organised sector. Ambiguity in the labour market has increased the demand for flexi-staffing industry, ISF said.
