Banks, which had either frozen or sharply scaled down recruitment, last year, are now, back with a vengeance in top B-school campuses.
This year, large private and foreign banks such as ICICI Bank, Citi, StanChart and HSBC are the leading recruiters in top B-schools.
Among major banks, ICICI Bank has hired the highest number of B-school graduates. The recent hires include 50 graduates from various Indian Institute of Managements (IIMs). The bank is also in the process of picking up around 60 students from other top-tier B-schools and 500 more graduates from other B-schools.
Among MNC banks, Citi is hiring around 50-55 students from the top B-schools against 45-50 it hired last year. According to Stephen Cronin, head-country human resources at Citi, the bank has participated in the final placement drive at IIMs.
